^{As some of you may have noticed, Writers-Slam has been on a bit of an unannounced hiatus. For that, we are eternally sorry. We would like, however, to get this machine back up and running and to do that, we need your help!

Even though we've been quiet, we have continued to recieve submissions and audio-files from you, our wonderful watchers. Unfortunately, we haven't had any dedicated readers who are able to turn these wonderful pieces of literature into the auditory-experience we have all come to love.

I will be putting together a show later today with all of the files we have recieved recordings for or that have been recorded. That leaves some 15 that have not yet had the Audio-Treatment. This is where you guys come in. If you're interested in reading for us, just this one time or as a dedicated reader, please send me a note. In the note, specify whether you would like to read prose or poetry and we will send you an assignment accordingly.

In the future, we will be running shows once a month. We will be creating a poll to find out when the best weekend would be to put up the new show and air it. This will allow our readers, our host and our wonderful artists time to compile the very best show we can create.

The requirements for a Reader are simple:

A microphone, phone or mp3 player with recording capabilities.
The ability to email me or otherwise get me the audio files when you've finished.

The format is equally simple:

1. A short introduction of the piece.
2. The title of the piece.
3. The name of the artist.
4. Your name and the date you read it.
5. The piece itself.
6. Assign copyright to the Artist.

We are also looking for new content. We would like to make this a more rounded literary podcast.

The lovely and incredibly helpful AlyssaAngel has created weekly themes and we will be posting a month's worth at the beginning of each month for your inspiration. We hope to get this thing back on track and we can't wait to hear from you!
